🌟 Founder, Cross and Crown
Emmanuel Godfrey Ogoma
Emmanuel Godfrey Ogoma, together with his wife Joyce, is the visionary founder of Cross and Crown,
a ministry rooted in compassion, creativity, and Christ-centered discipleship. His journey began
in 2010 at the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) base in Arusha, Tanzania, where he studied Principles
in Children and Youth Ministry (PCYM). It was there that Emmanuel first discovered his deep calling
to serve children and young people.
After graduating, Emmanuel moved to Mityana District in Uganda, serving as a missionary for two years.
Alongside Joyce, he ministered to children and youth with love, dignity, and transformative care.
Their impact was profound—planting seeds of hope in young lives and nurturing spiritual growth
through relational outreach.
In 2012, the couple returned to Kenya and founded Global Steps, a community-based organization committed
to providing educational opportunities for underprivileged children in Kitale. Through Global Steps and now
Circle of Love, over 700 children have gained access to education, with many graduates advancing to college
and university. Emmanuel’s leadership continues to open doors for future generations.
Emmanuel’s training includes:
- Discipleship Studies at YWAM Athi River
- Business Administration and Management – Cambridge International College
- Youth Work Certification – focus on mentoring and discipling young girls
His vision is clear: to see girls and women live fruitful lives, rooted in their identity in Christ
and empowered to pursue their divine calling.
Emmanuel and Joyce are blessed with three sons—Jeremy, Joshua, and Jayden—who inspire their
commitment to family and ministry.
Emmanuel’s global experience includes serving at YWAM Kings Lodge in the UK, where he worked in
the children’s department for two years. During this time, he received specialized training in:
- Basic Puppetry with One Way UK
- Sports Discipleship with KICK
-
Open the Book – a creative Bible storytelling program using skits and drama for children’s assemblies
These creative tools have enriched his ministry approach, enabling him to disciple children through sports,
music, drama, and dance. Emmanuel is passionate about bringing these ideas home to Kenya, where they continue
to spark joy, faith, and transformation among the youth.
